One day last week Bethany came home and
wanted to tell me about choir class. Their choir has been practicing
You Lift Me Up by Josh Groban. She asked me if I was familiar with
the song and I said yes and that I liked it. She said in class they
talked about the song and about personal heroes that day. She said
everybody who has choir came out of the class crying and everyone in
the school was wondering what that was all about. She told me that
she couldn't talk about her hero in class. She was already crying to
hard just thinking about it. I asked her who her hero was, thinking
she would reply Jesus or just maybe she would say her mom, but she
didn't. Just then, Sam was coming in from school and she just looked
at him and pointed and said it was him. Phew! I'm not a crier, but
I still can't not leak tears a bit just thinking about it. She is a
great girl and a wonderful sister to Sam. She is very protective of
him and I know she loves him with all her heart. She realizes how
hard things are for him and how easy things come to her and I know
she admires how hard he has to try. Kurt and I have been truly
blessed to have two such wonderful spirits in our home. If only know
I can figure out how to get them to stop antagonizing each other.
Haha.
