Highlights of DC

The Capitol.... our favorite place that we visited... We had a private tour thanks to Uncle Brad and was able to ride the senator train that runs underground

Arlington

The kid's had a ball trying crazy poses with all the monuments.... Jake at George Washington

Josh at the WWII monument

Ben at the George Washington Monument

DC cupcakes, yummy cupcakes cakes but not worth the money! We wish it had been Carlos bakery!

The Capitol and the Air and Space museum were our 2 favorite places!

Enterprise Shuttle

It was a fantastic vacation. Lots and lots of walking, we road the VRE (Virgina Railroad something) into DC and tour most the Smithsonian's, the capitol, white house, Ford theater (where Lincoln was shot) Spy museum, and all the monuments..... Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington, Iwo Jima, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Arlington, Supreme Court, Library of Congress and lastly Brian and I did a session in the DC temple. That's the temple Brian went to take out his endowments, it had the most beautiful celestial room I've seen. It was a great trip and We even took time to stop and smell the flowers!

Kentucky Derby Party

Sam's horse, Nero, came in second and he won an awesome gift basket. Bethany's hat won second place and she too got a cool prize. What a fun party!

CRAZY COUSINS

Snow for Easter

Anyone for some mormon wine?

I had a 2 week break between spring and summer semesters so I did a little work for dad. It turned out to be more work then I originally expected but all and all it worked out in the end. I put down ground cover to help with the weeds and installed a drip system so each tree can get water without watering the entire area.

Also, I peed the bed last night...just a little...and woke Ash from a dead sleep and made her switch me spots. I am a dirtbag. That is all.

Trouble with monkey bars.

This isn't Sam's first encounter with that nasty playground villian.

Mummy

Kurt's current distraction from life is getting ready to go on a backpacking trip with a friend from work in a few weeks. Thursday, he picked up a sleeping bag at Smith and Edwards. That "neat little store." He talked Sam into trying it out. Sam had just gotten home from school and was pretty exhausted from a long day of 1st grade. Within seconds, he was out. Either school's rough, or that's one comfy bag.
