Ben's first Temple Trip

Moab

We had a wonderful weekend in Moab. It was the perfect getaway. Lots of fun stories and some great pictures to post. This preview is all I have time for, but I loved this picture I took on my phone. I'll post some more pics after girl's camp. :)

Bubba turns 12

Ben turned twelve last week. We took him and his two best friends, spencer and chase, to the sky sox game. It was a great game and they won! Ben was so excited to get a new suit, a bike with gears, proactive, dallas jersey and a i touch cover! Thanks mom for the new suit, he looked really sharp sunday when he received the priesthood and was ordained the new deacon's secretary.

We blocked the road and ambushed the kids when they got off the bus on the last day of school, with a huge water fight. Way fun. And yes, out of about 10 kids, I had the only one that cried. Love that kid.

Lunar Eclipse

They Survived! Ben and Jake had a great time on their first backpacking trip along the Boulder Mail Trail near Death Hollow and Esclante Utah. They witnessed the Ring of FIRRRRRE with their super fancy solar eclipse glasses and now are outfitted for every scouting event possible.... at least I hope so!

The boys had a contest to see who could sit in the freezing water the longest, Brian grapped the camera and Jake yelled, "Don't worry Dad I got this!" And sure enough he lasted the longest.

Sam's B-day

We had a few visitors before we went out for b-day dinner. Check out the b-day cake on the table that Matt and Ash brought. It is a hamburger. It actually tasted a lot better than I thought it would. ;)

My Daughter Rocks!

Well, I saw Dad at the office the day that Bee got this award and I was bragging big time to him and Jim, he said I should be careful about being too prideful. So, in not so many words, my daughter is pretty okay. It was just a little old dumb award. Only one boy and one girl in each school in the district is picked for being sorta cool in general. Not a big deal, really. She didn't even care. HaHa

Our New "Toy"

Kurt and Bethany have been occupied with their newest toys. They each got camping hammocks at REI. Beth has spent two nights out back in it, and Kurt one. I also have permanent anchors in my posts now. :)
