Mount Hermon Hike

Cousins

Ben watching Jimmer play the Nuggets

Ben's Tenderfoot, 2nd class and 1st class Court of Honor

Good Job BENNY!
(thanks beth for taking the picture, I look good but you kind of cropped uncle Brian's bald head, beware he may come and find you! wahahahaha)

Josh's Sixth Bday

We had a fun batman party! (way back in March) Mr Freeze came and froze batman and robin, the joker hide the party bags and left a treasure hunt for the kids to find them, we played bat bat robin and the kids stomped at the bad guys (squinkies in balloons)! It was a lot of fun!

6th Grade Dance II

I wasn't able to make it to this dance to take pictures, but my friend thankfully did. These are pics of her son dancing with Bee. I can neither confirm nor deny if Bee likes this cute boy. :) We got the dress at Burlington Coat Factory in Colorado. That was a fun shopping trip until Bee tried on some Hooker shoes that fit her. :p And, no, I did not buy her these shoes. She wore some cute age appropriate sandals.

Edelweiss

Jen had heard about this great German place and it turned out to be a gem. Besides Ben and Sam, we all loved it. Apparently, Ben isn't a bratwurst fan and Sam said it was bad because he prefers his hotdogs on a bun. You just can't win. This picture is of Kurtis looking like he is throughly enjoying himself. Really! That's how I told him to look, but it just didn't come across in the pic. He really was in German food heaven. They even had his favorite rolls, potato dumplings, and soda (orange soda and pepsi mixed together) I do think Brian will be headed back soon for more of his "Mushroom Thing Plate"

Hike

Pikes Peak is in the back ground.
Ignore the fact that he is wearing women's sunglasses. He left his at home and this was before the trip to REI where he got his new very manly sunglasses. Cute couple though. :)
3 Peas in a Pod
Since this was spring break, I was excited to find the only sign of spring in that whole dang city. It was so cold and windy there. It snowed the day we got there. So, when I saw this crocus on the hike I snapped a shot. I'm posting it here because it made me LOL when I transferred it to the computer and realized I got a great shot of dog S***.

Feeding/Torturing the Giraffes

Bethany and Ben ditched us to go to REI with Brian and Kurt. They thought that would be more fun. Ahh, being a tween. Anyways, I thought the giraffes were very cool. Sam wasn't quite as impressed.

The idea is to gently put the lettuce on the giraffe's tongue and they will gobble it up. This picture made me laugh because it looks like it is shoving it up its nose.
Sam feeding the giraffe with gentle encouragement from Aunt Jen.

Sam feeding the giraffe with a little "help" from his mother. Not Force!

Sam looking excited to have just feed a live giraffe, not being traumatized that his loving mother forced him to put lettuce on a giraffe's tongue. :)
The 3 Amigos.

Who likes cotton candy?!

I DO!!!

These are pictures from the Easter Carnival on base. The kids got to play in the bouncy houses and some small carnival type games. Also, there was an intense Easter Egg hunt out side. It was a REAL HUNT. Not the easy kind we are used to at Cami's.
