RV's

Josh has been earning a little extra money doing chores his lazy mother can't quite get to.  He has recently earned $6.25 and upon being paid he took the money straight to Brian and told him it was for the RV.  Brian asked what RV and Josh explained the one we are going to buy. WHO NEW!  The Cochran buying a RV.... not sure where that came from.  I suggest its time Grandpa gets an RV and we head to the Unitahs....  just like good old Frank and Vera used to do!!! come on grandma you know you want to do this!

We hate flys!

Sometimes I feel like the universe is against me.  My house is full of flys. They are driving me crazy. I hate that they poop on my windows and blinds.  Mostly, because I hate cleaning my windows and blinds.   And they attack my piano students.  I think they are attracted to the vibrations from the piano.  Somehow, they know that thanks to our little house pet our back door is open 100 times a day and my kids love to invite them in by standing with the door open or just plain old leaving it open.  I guess we do live in a barn.  I have tried everything to repell them.  Bags of pennies.  They didn't care.  Bags of water with pennies. They laughed. Raid. They scoffed.  So, I  was so fed up Saturday I ran to Dallas Green's and bought those disgusting fly strips.  I thought that within an hour I would have a fly strip covered in flys and the pests would spred the word to their little friends to stay away.  It was horrible getting them hung up.  I had to use Goo-Be-Gone to get the sticky crap off my hands.  The strips have now made a mess on my door frame and dripped on my porch.  The flys are still everywhere around the door EXCEPT the fly strips.  I did catch one mosquito and a spider.  You can see at least 3 of the devils in the picture just by the bag of water.  Arrgh!

I might have gone a bit overboard.  If anyone is ever in need of an good quick breakfast, stop by my freezer.

So, this morning Sam was leaving for the bus and I said, "Hey get back here."  He said, "What?"  I said, "You forgot something very important.  Every morning before you leave you have to tell me something."  He said, "What?"  I said, "Well, it's just three special words and it starts with an I."  He said, "Uhhhh, Igloo?"  I said, "Go to the Bus!"

Locker drama.

Apparently, now all female Jr high kids decorate their lockers on the scale of interior decoration.  There might be a business opportunity here Matt and Ash.  You could market locker wallpaper or something.    Anyways, after much stress, work, blood sweat and tears, and Mom tapping the dang thing shut and having to go back the next morning.....she now has an acceptable place to check her lip gloss.

Poolside

This was the last day of our "swim lessons" at the neighbor's pool.  Lots of fun.  Sometimes we would have a large crowd and sometimes it was just a few.  One of my favorite parts was holding baby Shay while Shari tried to corral Alauna.  SCHOOL STARTS WEDNESDAY! :)

Dream

So being prego I have the most vivid crazy dreams.... I won't mention the more recent dreams of zucchini and pumpkin plants rolling up to my door, ringing the doorbell, me opening the door, those plants turning into zombie people who swagger into my house looking for my children to eat.... yea I won't mention those vivid nightmares

I will mention the other night I dreamt Ashley and I where STILL prego and so mad because Sherry had her sweet baby before us (yes well all know the odds of that happening, sorry Sherry) Tater was holding the adorable baby with a ton of dark hair, who looked like Milan but in boy form.  I asked what is his name was, Sherry said Nate still hadn't decided (we can all see that right) then Nate chirped in
and said his name is....

end of dream, I immediately woke up.... Nate and Sherry you can take it for what it is worth... have a good day fam!

First day of School for Josh and Jake

Josh and Jake both and great first days!  Ben started a day later and I did not get a mug shot of him.... It's so quite having the house to myself.  I'm kind a glad to have another little one join me here soon, although I am enjoying how much stuff I am getting done with everyone gone..... ps.  Who can have a bad day at school when agent Perry is on your back!

Pikes Peak Hike at Night

So the Boys earned their "Man Cards!" by hiking up this 14,000 mountain in the middle of the night.  They left at 6:00 pm and got to the top at 6:00 am just in time to see the sunrise.  Ben did great and was so excited to tell me all about it.  Brian said it was the dumbest thing he ever did.  Brian also commented saying it was like marching a bunch of zombies!  When they stopped to take a break all the kids fell over, backpack and all, and fell into a deep comma... they would shake them awake to start again.

We find out tonight if she passed the test to advance to karate belt.  We are pretty certain she will be sporting a belt of a new color by night fall.  Kurt and I only saw one real mistake during her test and it was pretty minor.  One thing is for sure, she is getting pretty fierce.  We might get her some American flag parachute pants so she can say "You think anybody wants a roundhouse kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys?"

Okay.  So, now that Bee has reached her full 'tween glory, we have decided to update or mature her room look a bit.  This shelf had 4 tall porcelain dolls on it that are now "sleeping" in storage.  So ladies, or guys if you have the flair, what do I fill this space with?  I need something 'tween acceptable, large, and cheap.  Any ideas?
