Julia Child Reincarnate
Oddly enough, my picky Beth loves eggs. She looks forward to her weekend egg-on-toast made expertly by Daddy. Mom can't make it the way she likes it, which really erks me. Anyways, she wanted to make deviled eggs last night, and this is the result. She even liked 'em.

Once there was a snowkitten...
Blue and Gold Banquet
This year the boys Blue and Gold Banquet required them to decorate cakes (remember last years with Ben's cannibal snowman scout eating a roasted marshmallow) Well this year we went high tech and used lego boy scouts. Jake won The Everyone's Dream Campsite Award! and Ben won The Most Extreme Badge Award! They had a great time making the cakes and frosting them and I do have to say they were best overall! (sorry for the fuzzy pics.... forgot the camera and had to use the cell phone)
Sayonara Tonsils!
Things went great Friday morning. We were the first ones on the schedule so we didn't have to wait long. Of course that meant we had to leave a 6 am. That was rough. Bethany got up on her own a 7 and got ready by herself for school. She's growing up. My awesome dentist was the first on the scene to put sealants on all Sam's teeth. They couldn't do it when he was at the dentist office. He is a very unwilling and drooly patient. Then out came the tonsils. The doctor said they were scarred in like adult tonsils. That means the tonsils have been sick and we didn't know. They were also growing in a weird direction. Because of this they were a little harder to get out than normal but he got the job done. When he woke up all he wanted was a popcicle and the I.V. out of his arm. He about smacked the nurse in the face waiving his arm around all loopy so she would take the I.V. out. He would perk right up when he heard the word popcicle. Friday and Saturday you would never have known he had surgery, but it finally hit him today. He's down for the count, poor guy. Boswell is quite concerned. I think we have a long week ahead of us but hopefully he'll be happier two tonsils lighter.

Farwell Old Friend
Cadet 4 and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Back in January, before Ben broke his collar bone, we took Cadet 4 aka Brooke (our cadet were sponsoring, Josh named her Cadet 4 don't ask me why, probably too much star wars the clone wars eposides on his mind when he met her) to the Denver Museum. We had a great time learning about Scary Dinosaurs, African animals (which the conversation went like this, uncle Matt shot a Zebra?? cool!......... grandpa's animals are way bigger than those!) and the coolest part of the museum was the planetarium! We also had a great time enjoying the sun on the observation deck looking out over the beautiful city of Denver. Who says white boys can't jump? And the very deadly Kung FU Jake!

Freeking Out Here
I'm losing it here. Since my last hair cut I noticed a lot of scalp on my head now every time I take a shower and shampoo I count hairs. I had a lot of them today. I'm going bald. Now I know Matt won't have compassion for me, but Sherry says my hair is my last good quality that I have. I'm fat, I'm almost 40 and I'm going bald. Any of you got any drugs for me as I'm entering depression zone here. I think I need to buy a corvette or something now.
On a bright side me and the girls sold a bunch of basement junk on ebay and finally found a new lionel hopper car for the train set. If you can't tell from the photo yes the car is pink. They don't make corvettes in pink do they? That would be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
