I was going through some old photos trying to safe them and I saw these two. Classic big girls trying to make the little girl do what they want. I thought it was funny.
I know some people might think, or like to give me a hard time, about showing more affection towards one of my family members than the others. But, it's just not true. However, one of my family members enjoys having his picture taken, no matter how messy his face might be. And it kept him occupied. Unfortunately, all the other pics didn't turn out. The concert was great. Tons of fun. Bethany loved it! We even found some good friends to sit by. The worst part was that it is on a steep hill, so you are fighting gravity, and rolling down the hill the whole time. Sam about took out the couple in front of us more than once.
This is in no way a jab against dad, but I realized something yesterday about my son. He needs a helper to get a job done. You know how we always tease dad that he is a workaholic but he needs someone to sharpen his pencils or hold open the garbage bag. He is a born chief. I think I'm raising a little viking chief. This is an on going battle with Sam. His playroom. Or the equivalent of Dad's den. It's where he keeps his treasures and he insists he knows where everything is. Occasionally, I have to go in a dejunk. Throw out the happy meal toys and stuff, but I think he has too much. It's overwhelming. This is a picture of him in the space that he had 8 hours to clean. He is totally capable. He just can't do it on his own. If I sit there with him, and hold the toy bins open, he can have it cleaned up easy peasy. He is just a little Mel.
